Slice the yellow onion thinly. Heat a medium sized skillet on medium heat and add the olive oil when hot. Add the onion and saute until golden brown, stir occasionally to not burn. Turn off the heat when the onions are done.
In a medium sized bowl, add all of the sour cream and one packet of the Lipton Onion Soup & Dip Mix. Stir to combine. Add in the sauteed onions and mix everything together.
